Eco Club Photography Contest – Enter Now
Calling all upcoming and current photographers! Eco Club is hosting a photography contest. You can submit a photo of scenery, animals, or nature/freeform. There are posters around the school with QR codes that you can scan to submit your photo. The winner gets featured on TAB’s Instagram, so take a few minutes out of your day to try your luck!
Wellness Club – Trade for Treat Event Today
Did you find any yet—ghosts, bats, monsters, pumpkins, and other Halloween shapes hidden around the building? Look high and low… there are at least 75 foam shapes hidden for the Wellness Club’s annual Trade for Treat event. Find as many Halloween shapes as you can and bring them to the “T” at lunch to trade them for a treat. Just another way to join in the community fun today. Happy Hallowe’en, Tigers!

“No Can, No Can Park” was a total success! Thanks to everyone who brought cans, parked like pros, and helped scare away hunger! And to those who forgot a can… we hope your car enjoyed its unexpected day off! Big thanks from everyone who helped make this Halloween can-tastic.

Junior Boys Basketball – Missed the Meeting?
Did you miss the Jr. Boys Basketball Meeting? Pick up a form in front of the Phys Ed Office and bring it to the first tryout. You must have your form to participate in the first tryout. Senior Girls Basketball – Quarterfinals Victory
Congratulations to the Senior Girls Basketball team for their massive upset over Nelson yesterday in the quarter finals of the Tier 1 playoffs. Emma Kellerman and Farrah Caesar combined for 25 points in the 37–26 victory. The Tigers move on to the semi-finals on Monday to face King’s Christian Collegiate. Good luck, Tigers!

Attention Tigers—tomorrow is the very last day to bring in donations for our school-wide Food Drive! If you haven’t already, make sure to bring your non-perishable food items—like canned goods, pasta, rice, or cereal—to your first-period teacher before the weekend. Each grade has been working hard, and the race is extremely close. Every single item could be the one that pushes your grade into first place and earns that special prize. Senior Girls Basketball – Regular Season Finale
Shoutout to the Senior Girls Basketball team who ended their regular season yesterday with a hard-fought 45–44 victory over Iroquois Ridge. The Tigers were down 5 in the final minute of the game and crawled back to win on a basket by Emma Kellerman with 7 seconds to spare. Great work, Tigers!

This Halloween, your parking pass is a can of food, or more if you’re feeling generous. Let’s show some school spirit and help our community. Remember: no can, no can park! This is your chance to explore real-world careers, meet professionals working in cutting-edge fields, and discover exciting postsecondary pathways in everything from engineering to healthcare and more. The event takes place on November 6 in the cafeteria during Period 1. If your class isn’t attending with your teacher, you’ll need to pick up a permission form from the science office to attend. Cross Country – GHAC Championships Results
On Tuesday, the Tigers Cross Country Team travelled to Bronte Creek Provincial Park to compete in the GHAC Championships. With numerous top 20 finishes, highlights of the day came in the form of 2 OFSAA berths from Junior Harrison Crowe and Senior Ethan Deveaux, who was also the GHAC silver medalist. In heartbreaking fashion, our Senior Boys team missed a trip to OFSAA, coming out on the wrong end of a tiebreaker. Please return your Cross Country singlet to Mr. Rochus ASAP.

Junior Girls Basketball – Huge Comeback Win
A massive shoutout to the Junior Girls Basketball team for their huge comeback victory yesterday over the undefeated and first place Hayden Huskies. Players of the game Diyenka Senanayake and Rowen Stinson combined for 30 points as the Tigers came back from a 15 point deficit in the fourth quarter to win the game. Great work Tigers!
No Can, No Can Park – Halloween Parking Reminder
Attention Blakelock students! On Friday, October 31, also known as Halloween, we are holding our annual “No Can, No Can Park” event in the parking lot. Photo Retake Day – Coming Tuesday
Did you miss having your photo taken on Picture Day? Did you order a photo package but aren’t happy with your picture? Don’t worry—Photo Retake Day is this Tuesday. Students photographed will receive a student ID card, and their picture will be in the yearbook.

Junior Girls Basketball – First Win of the Season
Congrats to our Jr. Girls Basketball team who played amazingly last night at Kings Christian Collegiate and got their first win of the season. They led from start to finish, winning 41–23!

Cross Country – Schnurricane Classic Highlights
Yesterday was the Schnurricane Classic at Bronte Creek Provincial Park. The Tigers had home-course advantage and showed it with great results. Ethan Deveaux was third in the Senior Boys race, Harrison Crowe scored a top 5 finish in the Junior Boys race, and Rianne Lee was our top female finisher, placing 14th in a competitive Junior Girls race. The story of the day was the Senior Boys taking home the team title with the best score out of 13 teams. Big thanks to all the volunteers who came out to help!
